How to Use This Teaching Series:
This teaching series includes lots of different elements to help make your lesson Biblical, fun, interactive, relational and relevant to your kids.
Our lesson takes the form of giving you several different sections for exploring the Biblical account. You do not need to use them all, you can choose what suits your group best.
The Bible translations that are used in this series are New International Version (NIV) and International Children’s Bible (ICB). Used with permission.
LESSON OUTLINE:
GAMES: All our games come with graphics and PDFs where needed.
SET the Scene:
You’ll use the Bible passage to read. The series Pinterest Board has a section for each lesson that you can access ideas within. You can then review the passage with the review questions.
SPOT the Simple Meaning:
This section of the lesson is where we take the main point from the scripture and share with the kids through object lessons. Object lessons are usually visual and interactive to help kids engage and have fun. We want this to be an exciting part of the lesson so that they enjoy hearing about and going deeper with God!
SEARCH the Scriptures:
Using a game children will explore the theme of the passage within the wider context of the Bible. There are then discussion questions you can use to help unpack their findings.
SENSE How You Feel:
Using the activities in a rotation format or choosing one or two activities to do with thekids is how this section works. The activities include building, moulding, crafting (CRAFT idea provided), sensory activity and ACTIVITY BOOKLETS provided. Encourage the children to think about the question and then feedback their thoughts after the activities.
They can share their activities then also.SEEK God: Children are encouraged to take part in a prayer and/or worship time to end the ministry time.
TITLES: Each lesson comes with a graphic for your screen.
SOCIAL MEDIA IMAGES: Each lesson comes with a social media image to share on your social platforms for the week.
DEVOTIONALS: Each lesson comes with a devotional for kids and a devotional for families to do at home during the week. You can give these as a take home paper or email them to your families.
FAQ:
CAN I PUT THESE RESOURCES ON OUR CHURCH WEBSITE? You can use these resources on your church website as long as they are taken down after 14 days. Unfortunately we have had resources stolen and put on different websites so this minimizes the chances of this happening. If you would like to upload them for longer, please put them behind a password protected page and send the link to your team and families with the password.
CAN I STORE THESE RESOURCES ON DROPBOX? You can store them on any cloud platform as long as they are only accessed by your team and church families.
CAN I EMAIL THESE RESOURCES TO MY FAMILIES? Yes! We are happy for you to email these resources to your families. We would love to see as many of your families using them as possible at home.
WHAT ABOUT THE SOCIAL MEDIA IMAGES: You can use the social media images on any of your platforms and they do not need to be taken down.
